Ellisons delighted as Firm Maintains Strong Profile
15 September 2010
This year's Legal 500 research highlights the continued success of Ellisons, which has offices in Colchester, Clacton, Dovercourt and Frinton.
Ellisons is perceived as a constant player in the Legal 500 research, consistently being ranked in the key practice areas of Commercial Property; Corporate and Commercial; Commercial Litigation; Employment and Family. In all these categories the researchers compare Ellisons favourably with other firms in Essex. In addition Ellisons performs well in the more focused disciplines of Property Litigation, Planning and Insurance/Personal Injury even though the research tables for these practice areas are not sub-divided by county but instead cover the densely populated South East of England.
The research which is based on client and contact interviews published the following client quotes in highlighting individuals and practices this year:
- Corporate and commercial Headed by the 'friendly and professional' Seamus Clifford, Ellisons 'prides itself on being approachable and responsive'.
- Commercial litigation At Ellisons, Graeme Wallington is recommended.
- Commercial Property Ellisons provides advice on planning agreements, commercial lets and the buying and selling of commercial and industrial property. Kevin Wilsher leads the practice
- Employment Headed by Jayne Scott, Ellisons provides an 'excellent level of service' on contentious and non-contentious matters. Graeme Wallington is 'extremely knowledgeable and a good listener'
- Family Ellisons provides a 'strong and efficient service', and was bolstered by the arrival of Peter Brook and Stuart Connal, following the firm's merger with Marshal Legal in October 2009. Newly appointed practice head Jon Armstrong is 'a safe and assured pair of hands'
Ellisons' partners are delighted that these individuals have been recognised for the quality of the service they provide and the fact that these key practice areas are going go from strength to strength.
