Ellisons Solicitors are delighted to support Hamford Primary Academy, in Walton-on-the-Naze, in the building of their brand new library.

Hamford Primary has gone from strength to strength in recent years, turning their school Ofsted report from ‘special measures’ to ‘Good’, which was announced just last month. Head Teacher, Mr Benedick Ashmore-Short, has lead the school through many changes, and the next on his list is to build the students a state of the art library to help with all their learning requirements.

Ellisons Solicitors went to visit the school earlier this year and was extremely impressed by the commitment, from all the staff at the school, to improving the teaching standards for the pupils. As such, when the opportunity arose to help support their latest project, Ellisons jumped at the chance.

Nicky Coates, Resident Partner in Frinton, said: ‘‘It was refreshing to see such a forward thinking and progressive school when we visited. They have the children’s best interests at the heart of every decision they make. It is a pleasure to be involved.’’

Benedick Ashmore-Short said: ‘‘We are looking forward to keeping our link with Ellisons as the Academy continues to flourish!’’

‘‘Reading is a fundamental skill that leads children to discover the awe and wonder of the world we live in. We want to inspire them to engage in their reading and to be passionate and enthusiastic readers. Thank you Ellisons for supporting our library building project.” – Benedick Ashmore-Short, Principal.

Hamford Primary Academy has worked hard to improve the education and environment of their students. Particularly in the last year, Hamford has started the Nurture program, Chicken Club, Forest School, the Zen garden and various classroom improvements. Through new equipment and programs, as well as, over all facility modernisation it has been an exciting year. We are proud of the passion our staff and parents have to provide an encouraging and exciting education to our students.
