Career

Jeanette joined Ellisons as a trainee solicitor in 1982. After qualifying in 1984 and gaining further legal experience as a Private Client solicitor elsewhere, she returned to Ellisons in 1987 and was promoted to partner status in 1988.
Since her return to Ellisons, she has seen the development and expansion of the Private Client department which now encompasses many more specialist areas. Jeanette is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Private Client Section of the Law Society.
She is also on the list of several charities as being a specialist who can provide advice to persons concerned to protect the interests of vulnerable and/or physically or mentally handicapped relatives.

Areas of Specialism

Complex and specialist Wills and Trusts, including Personal Injury Trusts and Trusts for Disabled Persons as well as Tax planning through Wills
Advising the elderly in: preparing and implementing Lasting Powers of Attorney; advising in relation to the appointment of Deputies; the ongoing management of financial matters
Asset Protection and the financial implications of needing residential care
The administering of estates and trusts, including those of high net worth clients

Outside the Office

Jeanette is active in her local village community and is a trustee of the local Community Council.
She is in the process of restoring a Grade II listed farmhouse and enjoys most styles of music and dance.
