Ellisons are pleased to have recently acted for a local charity in securing new office premises for their headquarters in the heart of Colchester.

Phoenix Homes Colchester is a local charity, which was established in 1966 to provide supported housing to people with mental health problems and learning disabilities. They have since expanded their remit to include a rehabilitation resource for people with alcohol misuse problems.

Due to a sale of their current premises, the charity had to relocate quickly and Commercial Property partner Philip Roberts, assisted by solicitor Joanna McKenna, negotiated the terms of a new lease of office premises in central Colchester. Securing the new premises allows the charity to expand its resources, offering and provide additional support to the local community.

Colin Biggins, Trustee of Phoenix Homes Colchester, commented:

“There was some urgency in acquiring new premises for our charity, due to the fact that our landlords decided to sell our current property. Ellisons were able to help us with an extremely tight turn-around timetable and answered all our questions and concerns swiftly and in a very professional manner. We would not hesitate to recommend their services!”
