Our commercial property team has recently acted for the renowned Le Barre Colchester in its acquisition of the Lorraine George School of Dancing. Corporate and Commercial Solicitor, David Heller, dealt with the Asset Purchase Agreement and all other corporate elements, while Bethan Williams, Solicitor within the Commercial Property team, dealt with the lease of the Colchester premises from which Le Barre’s founder, Danielle Hall, operates. Danielle’s company, Le Barre Ltd, is a Boutique fitness specialising in Barre and Pilates fitness for adults. Le Barre boasts venues in multiple locations, including: Colchester Town Centre; Mersea; West Bergholt; Wivenhoe; Frinton; and Layer-de-la-Haye.

Danielle Hall said: “Since relocating to Colchester in 2015, I started my business Le Barre Colchester in 2017 which has grown from strength to strength in past months. Following the success of Le Barre, I was in very good shape to acquire the Lorraine George School of Dancing when Lorraine, who was looking to retire, approached me. Since July 2018 the new business has continued to grow as we look forward to the rebranding, with a very promising future ahead.

The team at Ellisons helped make the process as easy and straight forward as it could be. Their professionalism and enthusiasm I received throughout the process was outstanding.”
