Ellisons Solicitors has promoted ten lawyers, three to Partner and seven to the position of Associate – a record number of promotions in the firm’s long and established history. The new Partners and Associates have been promoted from a variety of sectors, illustrating the firm’s focus on increasing specialism and expertise, as well as reflecting Ellisons’ continued growth.

Lisa Dawson and Scott Porter, based at Ellisons Colchester have been promoted to the position of Partner.

Lisa joined Ellisons as a trainee in 2002 qualifying into the family department in 2004. Lisa is renowned to be able to advise upon a broad spectrum of family law matters using her high level of experience and her specialist accreditation with Resolution. She also chaired Ellisons internal Influence Group which seeks to gain views and feedback from all staff on internal matters.

Scott Porter, an Insolvency and Debt Recovery solicitor, joined Ellisons in 2016, having worked previously for a large litigation firm in London. He works within the Dispute Resolution team and is the lead contact for all business recovery and insolvency matters. His clients include large corporate entities, financial services firms and banks, insolvency practitioners, accountants, private companies and individuals.

Further promotions in Colchester include Chloe Baldwin (Private Client), Imogen Dodd (Private Client), Rebecca Hempstead (Residential Conveyancing, Private Client) and Linda Osborne (Private Client) who have all become Associate.
