Ellisons Solicitors recently assisted Playdate App Limited, in connection with their first external investment round. The app has received a £250,000 angel and VC investment and now looks to leverage growth following the launch in April 2021.

The ‘Playdate App’ was founded by Nevine Coutry, a single mother who herself, was struggling to find like minded single parents. Her research showed an enormous gap in the market, with 320 million single parents across the world and 1/5 relationships beginning online. This where her vision came to life and has since experienced incremental interest from both single mothers and fathers.
Nevine plans to further invest in growing the team, optimising the technology, and amplifying the app’s digital marketing campaign to accelerate growth. She aims for Playdate App Limited to become the world’s leading app in the niche market and has already begun expansion plans to enter the US, European and Asian markets.
