Ellisons sponsor the Tour de Tendring and raise money in the process!

Ellisons were proud to sponsor the Entertainments tent at the Tour de Tendring on Sunday 11th May.

Despite the wind and rain, hundreds of people turned out to take part in the annual cycle event and to watch the start of The Women’s Tour, which was the fifth and final stage of the women’s race.

Cycling from Ellisons included Senior Partner Guy Longhurst (along with two of his daughters), Tim Logan, Kevin Wilsher, Toby Kramers, Nicky Coates, Grace Tweddell and Claire Rutterford.

The Ellisons team were raising money for St Helena Hospice, and collectively raise 288.

Cyclists started the race at the Dovercourt swimming pool at 10.30am, and could choose one of three different routes – a six-mile course, another covering 20-miles of the district and the most ambitious being a 60-mile track.

Those attending to watch friends and family were treated to a whole afternoon of Entertainment, organised by the Tendring Council.
