Ellisons Head of Employment, Julian Outen, delivered his popular HR Seminar on Wednesday 8th February, at the convenient Ipswich location of Wherstead Park.

Julian, and his assistant Solicitor, Samantha Cass, welcomed HR advisors from across Suffolk and Essex. David Heller, Solicitor from the Corporate Commercial team, was also on hand to answer any questions relating to his area of the law.

Julian’s round table discussion this month included:

• The new National Minimum Wage and Statutory Maternity Pay Rates;

• The Gender Pay Gap Regulations;

• The new ACAS Guidance on Marriage and Civil Partnership Discrimination and Social Exclusion at Work.

There was also an interesting discussion about the new Government Guidance on Employing Disabled People and an overview of various recent cases in this area.

Julian also looked at case law developments regarding employment status following the Uber driver cases and Deliveroo.

Since Julian’s arrival three years ago, his HR Seminars have proved a must attend event for local HR advisors and small business owners, providing them with up to date information from the sector. The events are held quarterly at the home of Ellisons Ipswich Office, Wherstead Park.

Julian and his team will soon be delivering these FREE HR Seminars in Colchester. Would you like to hear more and be kept up to speed with when and where these will take place (including the Ipswich events)?
