With a career history of working for a large litigation firm in London, Scott Porter joined Ellisons in 2016 and specialises in both personal and corporate insolvency with a particular expertise in contentious insolvency and investigations. After qualifying as a solicitor in 2009, Scott joined Kennedys in the City of London working in their insolvency, banking and commercial litigation team, acting for many key accounts including large corporations and government departments on complex banking and insolvency litigation issues. Now a Partner at Ellisons, Scott works in the firm’s Dispute Resolution department and is Head of Insolvency, covering specialisms such as fraud, financial services litigation, debt recovery and commercial litigation. Ranked in the 2018 Chambers and Partners guide as a Recognised Practitioner, Scott’s clients include large corporate entities, financial services firms and banks, insolvency practitioners, accountants, private companies and individuals. As a well-connected and highly respected solicitor in this area, Scott is a member of R3, the Association for Business Recovery Professionals and a member of the Insolvency Lawyers’ Association.
