Jeanette joined Ellisons as a trainee solicitor in 1982 having obtained an LLB (Hons) degree in Law. After qualifying as a solicitor in 1984, she has worked exclusively as a Private Client solicitor ever since. After gaining further legal experience elsewhere, she returned to Ellisons in 1987 and was promoted to partner status in 1988.
Since her return to Ellisons, she has seen the development and expansion of the Private Client department which now encompasses many more specialist areas. Jeanette is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Private Client Section of the Law Society.
Jeanette is a ‘Dementia Friend’. Dementia Friends learn more about what it is like to live with dementia and then turn that understanding into action. This helps our clients and their families just that little bit more.
In 2015, Jeanette was awarded a ‘Distinction’ in the STEP Advanced Certificate in advising Vulnerable Adults. This shows her commitment to providing good quality advice to those dealing with issues of mental and physical incapacity.
Jeanette is also on the list of several charities as being a specialist who can provide advice to persons concerned to protect the interests of relatives who are vulnerable and/or who have learning disabilities.
Jeanette is active in her local village community having been a trustee of her local Community Council for over 25 years. She enjoys most styles of music and dance; travel (especially to warmer climates) and socialising with friends.
The wording of our wills was refreshingly clear for a legal document. Jeanette Hollington was very capable but also very good with her advice and interpersonal skills
Thank you again for all the care and attention you have given Jeanette, in managing and overseeing the Trusts, since my father’s passing.
I cannot believe that you have managed to bring matters to a conclusion in such a short space of time, it certainly has not been a very easy matter to deal with. I personally am very grateful to you for taking my call and for agreeing to act on this matter and for all your and Carol's help, patience and in some cases hand holding throughout. Thank you to you both for all you have done. As I mentioned to you on the telephone I would not hesitate to use you again should the need arise and I will make sure that my colleagues in other charities are aware of your existence and would recommend you to deal with matters without hesitation.
