    Joined Ellisons

    Lisa joined Ellisons in September 2002 as a Trainee Solicitor, qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2004. Lisa was subsequently promoted to Associate Solicitor in May 2014, Partner in May 2018, and took over as Head of Family department in September 2020, and is recognised by the Legal 500 as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’.

    Career overview

    Prior to joining Ellisons, Lisa attended Brunel University and completed a 4 year thin sandwich course, graduating with a 2:1 BA (Hons) Law Degree. Lisa completed placements within the Customs and Excise prosecutions department and a Criminal and Family law firm in Slough. Lisa subsequently obtained a distinction in the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the School of Law in London.

    Lisa is also a member of Resolution which is a national organisation of family justice professionals committed to non-confrontational and constructive resolution of disputes. Lisa has carried out mediation training and whilst not a practicing mediator, she uses the same ideology where appropriate in practice.

    Outside the office

    Lisa enjoys spending time with her family usually outdoors; walking, cycling or watching her children’s football matches in all weathers (perhaps not so much fun!). Lisa is a member of Ellisons book club which meets monthly reading books from all genres. Lisa’s favourite pastime is having a good meal and a glass of wine with friends.
