Sophie joined Ellisons in May 2022 as a Solicitor.

Contentious Trust & Probate
- Bringing and defending claims against Executors and Trustees;
- Bringing and defending claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975;
- Dealing with challenges to the validity of Wills on a number of grounds, including; lack of testamentary capacity, want of knowledge and approval, undue influence and lack of formalities; and
- Beneficial interest disputes, including claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and proprietary estoppel claims.
Career overview
Sophie studied Law at the University of Exeter and undertook her LPC part-time through the University of Law, London whilst working full-time at a regional law firm.
Sophie qualified as a Solicitor in March 2019 and worked as a Dispute Resolution Solicitor at an Ipswich-based firm for just over 2 years, specialising in commercial litigation.
During this time, Sophie represented clients in County Court and High Court matters and undertook advocacy for clients at third party debt order and final charging order hearings.
Sophie was promoted to Associate in June 2023.
