    Samantha is an Associate Solicitor in Ellisons’ Family team in Colchester. She specialises in all aspects of family law and has an extensive knowledge in relation to difficult or complex divorces with both overseas elements and missing or difficult respondents.

    Samantha is a member of Resolution which is a national organisation of family law professionals committed to a non-confrontational and constructive resolution of disputes. Samantha has also undergone specialist training to be able to assist and advise both parties together after a separation. This follows the “One Couple – One Lawyer” model.

    Samantha joined Ellisons in 2015 as a Paralegal and completed her training contract qualifying as a Solicitor in the Family department in 2018. She was promoted to Associate in 2024.

    Samantha graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge with a First Class BA (Hons) Law Degree and a Higher Diploma in Paralegal Studies. Samantha then went on to achieve a distinction in the Legal Practice Course (LPC).

    Samantha’s focused areas of experience are:

    • Complicated divorce and dissolution proceedings including effecting service and service outside of the jurisdiction of England and Wales
    • Fact finding hearings in Children Act 1989 proceedings including cases involving vulnerable witnesses, implacably hostile parents or alienating behaviour.
    • Resolution Together – Samantha has undergone specialist training to be able to assist and advise both parties together after a separation. This follows the “One Couple – One Lawyer” model.

    Samantha is kept busy outside of the office with her young family and her Australian Labradoodle. Samantha also enjoys cooking and visiting different restaurants whilst socialising with her friends and family.
