Ellisons Solicitors has announced changes to the senior team in the Immigration department. Current Head of Immigration, Graeme Kirk will be retiring as a Partner and as Head of Immigration and taking on the role of Senior Counsel from August. Partner, Sohan Sidhu will step up to lead the department.
Sohan has practiced immigration law for over 20 years and joined Ellisons as a Partner in 2019 following the merger with Gross and Co. He is mainly based in the Bury St Edmunds office and works across the firm’s Essex and Suffolk patch, and is also available for meetings in our London office.
Sohan specialises in all aspects of immigration law and specialises in providing corporate immigration services including assisting multinational companies with bases in the UK on the transfer of Skilled Workers to the UK. He represents clients in many sectors including those involved in financial services, pharmaceuticals, professional services and information technology and he also provides advice on all aspects of UK immigration to individual and family clients, including advising high net worth clients applying for the UK Investor Visa.

Recognised for his expertise in the industry, Sohan featured in the Legal 500 and is also listed in the Who’s Who Legal 2020, which highlights leading international solicitors in their specialist fields.

Taking on the Senior Counsel role at Ellisons, Graeme Kirk will focus on client development and continue to use his extensive experience and knowledge for the benefit of his wide array of clients and contacts as well as continuing to build the firm’s client base through his long standing international connections, which he will continue to maintain.
