Ellisons Solicitors has always been proud to serve the Tendring region providing high quality advice to its residents and businesses for over 80 years. The introduction of the lockdown measures imposed by the government has given Ellisons time to focus further on its offering and ways in which to improve service, listening to feedback from both clients and colleagues.

Prior to the lockdown Ellisons saw an increasing demand for electronic communication and more diverse and specialised services from its offices to meet the changing requirements of the Tendring community. The firm has invested heavily in its IT infrastructure and offices to enable this to happen.

The investment the firm has made has allowed it to continue to operate throughout the lockdown period to keep up with the growing needs of its clients in Tendring. The use of technology has allowed colleagues to adhere to the enforced restrictions imposed by the government as a result of COVID-19 and offer a flexible service to clients including virtual meetings and out of hours appointments.

With government restrictions being eased Ellisons Solicitors has taken the decision to further invest in the Tendring region by increasing its presence in both the Clacton-on-Sea and Frinton-on-Sea offices, expanding its teams and specialisms to meet the increased demand from clients. As part of this investment, the firm has taken the difficult decision to permanently close its smaller Harwich office at the end of August, allowing both clients and colleagues to benefit from improved facilities and resources at the other two offices in the region.

Ellisons Solicitors will continue to service the Harwich community, looking after its existing and new clients in the area, offering services with home visits for those who are unable to make the short journey to the other Tendring offices or have access to virtual meeting technology.

Commenting on the changes, Guy Longhurst, Managing Partner at Ellisons, said: “Following a review of how best to serve the Tendring region we have decided to maintain offices in Frinton-on-Sea and Clacton-on-Sea and close our smaller Harwich office, with the Harwich services and team relocating to the other offices a short drive away.

At the same time, we have invested in client service, offering flexible appointments so that we not only maintain the excellent service standards that are synonymous with Ellisons Solicitors, but improve them. The Frinton-on-Sea and Clacton-on-Sea offices now offer a broader team of expertise, with more time for home visits for clients throughout the Tendring area. The bigger offices at Frinton-on-Sea and Clacton-on-Sea will also provide better meeting facilities as we adjust to the new norm and start holding more meetings within our offices.

Myself and the whole Tendring team are looking forward to welcoming new and existing clients and wish everyone well.”
