Team Ellisons have been busy raising funds for the Rob George Foundation, this June. We’re pleased to announce that we have raised a total of £1,914!

You can find below the list of fundraising events that took place throughout June, and we’d like to thank our colleagues, family and friends of the firm who have supported us with our fundraising efforts to raise awareness of the foundation.

Rob’s Big Walk

Over the weekend of 19th-20th June, team Ellisons together with a fantastic group of walkers completed Rob’s Big Walk, walking the 81-mile Essex Way as a relay. The first group started bright an early at 5am on Saturday at Epping Station, and ended with the final group completing the walk at 6.10pm on Sunday at the port of Harwich on the Stour estuary.

We raised a total of £456.02, to which the partners at Ellisons kindly made an additional contribution of £10 per mile walked, totalling £810 for the 81 miles. Therefore our sponsorship for the walk totalled £1,266.02!

Pizza in the Courtyard

With Covid-19 restrictions lifted, we invited our colleagues from our Colchester offices for a face-to-face catch up over pizza in our courtyard on Friday, 11th June.

For a donation of £5 colleagues enjoyed pizza from Dough & Co., soft drinks and some sunshine!

In total £375.58 was raised at this event.

Pop-up Coffee Shop

As the final fundraising event, on Monday 21st June, we invited all local businesses to get their morning coffee and pastries, at our head office in Colchester. We had the pleasure of Sir Isaac’s Artisan Coffee shop setting up a pop up coffee shop to sort out everyone’s caffeine needs – which provided another opportunity to catch up with many local businesses and contacts.

All items were served for a donation, and despite the rain we raised a total of £272.40.

Thank you to everyone who came along and donated!
