Ellisons Solicitors has been busy collecting Christmas presents this December, all destined for various hospitals and care homes across the region.

The gifts were collected as part of a firm wide ‘Christmas Gift Donation’ initiative. This was the idea of Solicitor, Bethan Williams, and put into action by the Social Committee she chairs.

Each office was given a variety of gift tags that were placed on the Christmas tree in the reception areas. The tags were gender specific and highlighted where the gift would be donated to – each office chose a local cause to send the gifts to, once collected.

Bethan Williams said: “We have a very good track record of doing our bit for the local community and charitable causes. This idea in particular went down well and we had a very good response from staff and some external firms too – everybody got involved!”

The gift collection from Ipswich went to the Children’s Ward at the Ipswich Hospital. Partner, Toby Kramers with other team members went to the hospital on Friday 15th December, armed with 33 presents for the kids, which the staff were delighted to receive!

The Colchester office donated their many presents to the Care of the Elderly Wards at the hospital, on Wednesday 20th December.

Frinton, delivered their gifts to Delamer care home on Friday 22nd December.

The gift-wrapped presents include chocolates, biscuits, “smellies” such as bubble bath, socks, handkerchiefs, shaving sets, jams and marmalades.
