Ellisons Solicitors have advised The East of England Co-operative Society on various commercial property acquisitions.

The firm continues to advise the Society’s on freehold and leasehold acquisitions in relation to its considerable funeral services portfolio.

Ellisons advised on the freehold acquisition of a Funerals premises in Essex, which re-opened earlier in the year. The new branch has now successfully opened and is a welcome addition to the Society’s portfolio.

Furthermore, Ellisons most recently advised on the grant of a new long lease of premises in North Suffolk, which will be used for the East of England Co-operative Society’s funeral services.

The Society’s Acquisitions Surveyor, Stuart McDonald MRICS, said: “Our Society currently operates from 30 funeral branches across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex and we are actively looking to expand.
