A divorce is one of the most stressful events that someone can go through during their lifetime, but it doesn’t have to be full of conflict. There are various things that you can do to try and remain amicable. Ellisons’ team of Family Law Solicitors are part of Resolution, a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way. Our specialist team works towards supporting couples to work together to come to an agreement in a way that promotes good communication and understanding. A key tool in this approach is family mediation, where both parties have the opportunity to discuss aspects including finance, property, and childcare to help reach common ground for agreement and avoid the need to take the matter to court.
