In 2007 Ellisons helped Colchester Rugby Club 1st XV player Mark Braidwood set off for New Zealand to pursue an opportunity of a lifetime, to follow his dream to further his rugby career by heading for New Zealand and a new team in Napier, Hawkes Bay.
